India ranks as the worst offender with 4,765 content restrictions on Facebook
Facebook releases its global transperency report,covering the period between July and December of last year.Now according to the government rules social networking revealing how often countries have restricted or content removes from the site on which thet it violates local law.India had over 4,000 pieces of content pulled-Most for Criticism of a religion or the state.And now India ranks first in content restriction according to the facebook laws.And India haves large market for Facebook which recently reached 100 million monthly active users.
After that turkey is second it has 2014 restricted content.And pakistan palces in third place.Facebook said that "We do not remove content from our service entirely unless we determinee that it violates our community standards."
United states remains unmatched in its thirst for user data.The Us put in 12,598 requests,referencing some 18,715 user accounts.The company recieved between 0 to 999 National Security Letters for the period.In second place is India,which had 3,598 requests affecting 4,711 users.Facebook said.When the company does comply,it most often shares only "basic information "like a user's name and IP address.
